2002 Hyundai Elantra GT review from North America
"Definitely not equal to Japanese as some like to claim"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Electric door locks malfunction in the cold.
Hatchback cylinders do not hold open in cold.
Paint quality sucks.
Interior trim items come loose/fall out.
Brake linings separate from pad plates at 40000 km.
Rear wheel bearings shot at 60000 km.
Water leaks from rear hatch.
Multiple rattles and clicks which come and go.
Alloy wheels do not stay in balance.
Terrible road noise.
Cabin air filter missing since new?
Traction control doesn't appear to do much other than make noise.
General comments?
Wish I had bought a Honda.
