"Good value and performance at a very reasonable price"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

Some problems with tires being poorly balanced.

General comments?

Overall, quite happy with the Elantra, it's a very good value. However, the dealership was terrible. They engaged in some false advertising on the prices and complained a lot about the Hyundai corporation. They claimed a need to run up the quoted price on the basis of Hyundai not allowing them any kind of significant markup. Despite this and some minor problems with getting tires balanced, I would certainly buy another Hyundai. It's got good power, is reasonably comfortable, but I recommend you not buy it though a dealer, buy it off the internet, which is what I will do next time.

Hi. I think that it is too bad that dealers think that they can get away with treating us, the consumer with such disrespect for without us, they would not be. My husband and I have spent the past two weeks narrowing down the field. It is not that we did not know what car we wanted, but what dealer we wanted to buy our car from. We did all of our leg work with our fingers. We reviewed safety statistics, recall research and ratings. We called our credit union and got pre-approval. Once we were satisfied with those we went to the closest dealer and test drove the model that we were interested in. After thanking them for their time and and leaving we went home and used an online car finding service to help us locate a dealer that gave us an online quote. (Unfortunately they were quite a ways away) With that in hand we went back to our local dealer and asked if they could meet or beat the quoted price. The answer No, but they will drop the interest rate, that will make it fit into our budget. After telling them that was not what we wanted we had an upset General Manager on our hands. Unacceptable. We got up and walked out. One more try. And it was a hit! WONDERFUL service all the way around! And they were even willing to find the unique color that we wanted so badly. If there is one piece of advice that I hope will stick, it is that you have the power, NEVER settle. You have the power to get up and leave. There is a dealer out there who would love to sell you a car on your terms. Not only that, but you will love and respect your self in the morning and that is more valuable than any deal they could ever offer you.
