2005 Hyundai Getz GL review from Philippines
"The handling is very stable even at 130kph and the smooth ride is an A"
General comments?
I acquired this car to save fuel cost, of course, for my daily sales call. This means really driving in the <100kph region. I am contented with the 12km/Li efficiency of my Getz compared to my other car which drinks 7km/Li of diesel (Mit Pajero '04).
I just drove my Getz 1.3 M/T this morning from my hometown in Camiling, Tarlac to my current residence in Sta. Rosa City, Laguna. The road is wide and I tried running at 120~130kph maximum (110kph ave). It took me 2.5hrs to get to Laguna driving the 210km stretch. This is almost the same time when driving my Pajero. Surprisingly, I just loaded P600 @ P35.62/li (before the recent increase in fuel cost). This means my average consumption is 12.5km/li. This is a thumbs-up for this little car considering that we are four (4) big persons inside this tiny car.
Actually, I tested the gutz of my getz by racing a Nissan Patrol this morning. I trailed, but the gap is never that far.
This little car is superb in its class.
