2005 Hyundai Getz FX review from Australia and New Zealand
"'As good as it getz'"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Battery was badly charged when I first got the car - had to sign up to RACV to get roadside assistance at one point because it wouldn't turn over. Problem fixed after a recharge at the dealer.
Creaking from inside drivers seat caused by an unlubricated spring - have complained to the dealer twice already, but they have not properly fixed this - argh!
Horn is sounding a bit muffled - will get them to fix at next service.
General comments?
Good cheap reliable car. The FX has ABS, alloys, a larger engine (I think -I'm sure it's a 1.6 instead of a 1.5), sunroof, and a different interior (seat colour is olive-yellow, and fake carbon fibre finish on some of the plastics). The dealer told me it was one of 100 made which is pretty cool.
Steering is good, but there is a little bit of body roll. Really economical to run, but a little gutless on hard acelleration. Overall good though.
