2002 Hyundai Santa Fe LX 2.4 4 cylinder from North America

Summary:

Too good to be true

Faults:

Many of the belts broke after 5,000 miles or less.

The performance of the vehicle lacks very much... it was very poor.

The seats have worn quite quickly.

General Comments:

At first the vehicle seemed to be too good to be true. It definitely was. It was not reliable, or powerful. It was getting weaker after time.

Sometimes the car would just shut off when on the highway leaving me stranded sometimes.

Turning is smooth though.

2002 Hyundai Santa Fe GLS 2.7 V6 from North America

Summary:

I love my Santa Fe!

Faults:

Everything has been good so far.

General Comments:

This is by far the best vehicle I've owned.

The price was very reasonable, but performance wasn't compromised.

I don't think I'll ever buy another vehicle not made by Hyundai.

2002 Hyundai Santa Fe 4wd td 2.0 turbo diesel from UK and Ireland

Summary:

A super smooth highly capable 4x4

Faults:

The only thing that has gone wrong/still going wrong is the digital date keeps resetting its self.

General Comments:

Much consideration was done before purchasing this vehicle and I have to say that both the dealer and the vehicle have exceeded our expectations so far.

I can't fault the performance and economy of the engine especially since its such a heavy vehicle.

The interior is comfy and I prefer its driving position to my last car which was a ford galaxy.

The stereo/CD player is excellent, but the rear doors could do with speakers fitted instead of them being in the boot.

The cars handling is a little soft around town, but is very stable on long motorway hauls.

2002 Hyundai Santa Fe GLS V6 from North America

Summary:

Great alternative to other import SUVs

General Comments:

Clock at head level position is very awkward. This has been addressed in more recent models that now have the clock on the radio console.

Nice turning radius. Very easy to park compared to our Maxima.

Seats don't fold perfectly flat in the back.

Very thirsty engine with a small gas tank.

Excellent all around. Great value. Drives great, looks great, lots of space and cargo room.

2002 Hyundai Santa Fe LX 2.7 liter V6 from North America

Summary:

Super buy!

Faults:

Absolutely nothing! I have enjoy this car from the moment I took it for a test drive.

General Comments:

I really like the stylish looks and comfort. I have got more comments on this car then any other I have owned. People have actually came over to ask to look inside and where I got it. This is the only Santa Fe in our town right now, but I expect to see many more real soon. At least I have the first one!

2002 Hyundai Santa Fe 2.7 from North America

Summary:

Best vehicle I have ever owned

Faults:

Replaced a fan belt at approximately 11300 kilometers.

Other than that one thing the vehicle has been excellent.

General Comments:

I am extremely happy with my Santa Fe.

I would recommend the vehicle to any of my friends.

It is very sporty and has a great look.

Drive like a dream.

Excellent range of options for the money.

Looked at other makes, Ford Escape, Jeep Liberty, and Toyota Rav4. None of them could hold a candle to the Santa Fe. In value or looks.

2002 Hyundai Santa Fe LX 2.7 V6 from North America

Summary:

A great bargain priced luxury car

Faults:

I noticed that the Hyundai and Santa Fe written on the back of the car had incurred some erosion. I called it in and the dealer was happy to replace it.

General Comments:

So far this car has been everything I had expected. After looking at many different car-based SUV's and having my wife drag me to see the Hyundai based of safety ratings I walked out of the dealership with it.

The car is has a very nice "cockpit-like" interior which I really like, and some features that I have only seen in Mercedes and other high-end cars, such as automatic temperature controls and heated leather seats.

The exterior is very nice, curvy and contemporary, just the way I like it.

The power is somewhat lacking, but it doesn't really show in most driving.

Another thing that I found to be nice is that my hood pops up with pistons, and everything underneath the hood is nicely organized.
