2002 Hyundai Santa Fe GL review from Australia and New Zealand
"Use to be a dream car now I'm worried about the nightmare"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Well to start off the list of problems that I've had are as follows wheel alignement cannot be done properly as it always pulls to the left all the time, secondly cigerette lighter fly out off holder when used this has been replaced by warranty, but most off all I took the family for a fishing trip on the beach the sand was not overly boggy, but the car could handle it I guess so off we went into the sand 1.5 kilometers down the beach could smell a burning smell in the front of car it turned out to be the clutch burning out I have spoken to Hyundai and they have a weak clutch installed in car, If this is a medium size 4wd car well I will not recommend anyone taking onto beach unless you have a week to spare to get repaired the car now shutters when taking off I'm so disapointed with its results sorry Hyundai I was a 100% fan, but now I'm about 30% fan.
General comments?
Handles well in the wet, but gets a lot of road noise with AT tyres.
