2000 Hyundai Tiburon review from North America
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The car was excellent for about three weeks after I bought it; then I had strange stalling problems like other people have had, and my check engine light was always coming on.
So I took it back to the dealer, and they said it was normal. I told them it can't be normal if it keeps coming on and staying on soon after it stalled, and would not start.
They tried everything to fix it at my cost; it ended up that the main computer was shot, and what happened was the fuel pump got no power. I took them to court and won; they paid for all repairs.
It seemed to be fine for a while, then the wheel bearings went and then the brand new timing belt I had put in snapped and took out my number four cylinder. An expensive fix; about three grand all said and done (just in parts).
Anyways, the car will be brand new again, so I will see how it goes. But if you guys need parts, check out canadapartsway.ca; they are cheap and quality is awesome, and at a fraction of the cost of what the dealership want. I won't buy parts through the dealer anymore, but through that company (and parts won't be nothing).
