2004 Hyundai Tiburon review from North America

Clutch Switch failed to contact and I could not start the car after less than 6,000 miles. Dealership said that was a common problem and they fixed it under warranty. Then "check engine" idiot light came on around 18,000 miles. Dealership (not the one I bought it from) attempted to fix while I waited. They could not so they just happened to have one of six loaner cars available. It took them over a week to fix my car. Turned out to be a computer defect and apparently a very expensive thing to fix, but again, very much UNDER warranty. Seats have started to wear a bit already. The threads on the seams have started to pop out a little. Also, when I took it in for an oil change, the mechanic put some very bad tears in the vinyl of the driver side door and the dealership would not take responsibility for it because I did not see it right away because it was in a place I couldn't see very well. Last item: the clip that the rear hatrack pivots in when raising the trunk lid actually came out fairly soon after I bought the car. It was fixed after two attempts.

This is a pretty nice little sports car if you are on a budget. The 4 banger has quite a bit of pep, but the RPMs do not drop while shifting gears. There is VERY little room in the backseat, but that is to be expected for a car of its size. Fairly smooth ride for such a low riding car. Not much headroom, but again, it's a sports car. Small storage spaces not too convenient. This may not be a problem for anything else, but the angle at which the front seat are cause abdominal cramping for me (driver) and is very uncomfortable on the back of my primary passenger.
