2001 Hyundai XG300 review from North America
"Comfy, big car"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Absolutely nothing.
Not a single thing has gone wrong. Once I kicked some wires below the steering wheel by mistake, and so that knocked some fuse connection to get loose and didn't start. But someone found that out in the parking lot I had parked in, and just attached the fuse back and that was the only hiccup that I had caused.
I have changed the oil twice since I bought it. Once put regular oil (since that is the manufacturers recommendation) and another time put Full Synthetic. Otherwise, just pour fuel and go.
General comments?
I bought the car used from a small Russian dealer. Haven't even had the car looked at by another mechanic for a second opinion. I know this was risky, but off I went. It has been just phenomenal. This is my first car by the way!!! Through-out winter and everything, -40 temps here in Canada, and started flawlessly every single time.
Stereo sound is awesome. Everyone loves riding in my car. Back seats feel like Limo.
Only complaint is: there could have been more lateral support on the drivers seat. Also, ride quality is not the best for my tastes, since I like a sporty feel, so I am trying to sell it. Feels like driving a big pillow. But I am scared I may not be so lucky second time around.
