1991 Infiniti Q45 review from North America
"Great car with style and performance!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Alternator went bad at 190,000, very expensive fix.
Brake pads wear about every 5,000 miles.
I just put a new rear differential in because of a leak at the rear seal.
New struts.
Both inner and outer tie rod ends, along with ball joints in the front.
The hood bends at the hood strut mounting location. Still needs hood.
The car seems to be having some rust problems at both rocker panels, also at both of the rear wheel wells.
The climate control display went out.
Now my A/C comp. is knocking.
General comments?
The car,to me, is very comfortable. The seats are a little hard, but still you sink right in to them. There is plenty of room in side for passengers.
It has Awesome acceleration! After about 40 mph is when it really gets going. The Infiniti has massive power for a car of its size, and seems to keep going well after 100 mph. I had it up to 157mph and it was still pushing on. You are able to pass lots of other cars on the road with ease!
There could of been more cup holders, considering that there isn't a single one! I found a cup holder called the wedge. It seems to do just fine and fits right between the front passenger seat and center compartment.
On dry pavement the Q45 does just fine, but be careful in rain, snow, or ice. The tires will spin with out warning. That's why it has traction control right?
Other than the tires spinning the car handles great! It surprised me with it's ability to corner so well at higher speeds because of its size. The Infiniti is a wonderful cruiser, and floats like it's on air.
Over all it is a car that should not be beat, and well maintained, and you will be a lot more pleased with The car.
I'd say it is worth the money to have a car of it's class, style, and performance!
