Summary:

High powered, but high maintenance

Faults:

After 5 months I had to get a new clutch. Then about a year later I had to get a new transmission. And I have had to get new belts, hoses and a starter. I also have a shortage in my interior lighting knob.

General Comments:

I love my car, but I cannot afford to fix it because everytime I fix it something strange goes wrong. It is great to travel in, but with all the money I have put it in, I don't want to take the chance. It has magnificient power aand room and if I could afford to fix it I would keep it.

I bought my '93 Rodeo 5 years ago. Since then I have installed two new 02 sensors, new clutch and a few misc. hoses. It has 193,000 miles on it and is still my favorite vehicle to play in. My motto is "if you love it, it's worth it!" Never give up!!!

Be careful when buying parts for a 93 Rodeo at some auto parts places!! Sometimes it's better to go to a junk yard and get the original part that you are replacing.

Summary:

This a is a first class SUV in my opinion

Faults:

Clutch went out at 100,000.

Water pump went out at 120,000,at same time replaced timming belt and desludged engine.

Replaced brakes at 130,000.

General Comments:

This truck is almost the best truck I've ever owned. It runs well and is wonderful on and off-road.

The 3.2V6 definitely has enough power when combined with the limited slip rear end.

The Rodeo has plenty of room to haul people or up to 7 bails of hay with the back seat folded up.

So far I've added a good, but not over powering stereo with both cassette and CD changer. It runs on 31.50 by 9.50 by 15 Wildcat High Terrain Lt tires, mounted on 15 by 8 Centerline aluminum rims. It also has a Smittybuilt Thunder bumper. As well as Smittybuilt side bars.

I'm a very proud and happy owner of my 19931/2 Isuzu Rodeo LS.

I agree... This SUV is built like a tank... its old, but I love it. Mine is over 123,300 miles and it still runs great - of course you have to maintain it, but that's routine. I am happy with my 93 Rodeo V6.
