1999 Isuzu Rodeo LSE review from North America
"No more Isuzus for me"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
I have had all the problems others have listed on my 1999 6 Cyl Automatic Rodeo.
Fuel Sending unit had to be replaced because gas gauge was unreliable.
After the recall repair for the ABS problems the braking was still horrible so I finally disconnected the ABS. A much better solution than the repair.
The check engine light is on. The code is 404 which indicates a faulty EGR valve. $200 for a mechanic to fix ($125 in parts) I think I will take it off and try to clean it to see if it fixes the problem.
The Shift lever was stuck, and I couldn't push the button in. Guess what, the brake light fuse was blown, when I replaced the fuse, I was able to use the shift lever normally again.
The latest problem is I am burning 1 to 2 qts of oil every 150 miles. My mechanic said there have been similar problems with Rodeos he has worked on and blames it on an "internal oil leak". I have never heard of such a thing. Any Comments?
