1997 Isuzu Rodeo LS review from North America
"Great car!! Just some annoying engine noise"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
When I first purchased my car the dash lights were very dimly lit, now only one side lights up.
The constant pinging in the engine and Iam finally finding out that this is just a defect and to use mobil synthetic w-30 oil which will stop the annoying noise.
I have only replaced the brakes once since ownership.
The screaching noise especially when it is cold out. Belt??? not sure.
General comments?
I really do enjoy my Rodeo. I love the way it drives and how much fits in the back of the car. I have always wanted an SUV and I am very impressed with mine. I do not like the pinging noise in the engine as I have mentioned prior, but I have been on line constantly trying to see if anyone else has the same problem and Iam finding out that many do and there is not much to do about this problem. I have tried the more expensive mobil oil w-30 which is hard to fine I might add, and really does not make much of a differance that I have noticed.
I love the way it drives in the winter time. I have always been fearful of winter driving and my Rodeo handles great in the snow.
Other than small maintence problems brakes, tires, engine PINGING ect. I am pretty pleased with the Rodeo.
