"I love it but I wouldn't buy another one"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The ABS light stays on even though we had it fixed during the recall. The doesn't seem to be anything wrong with it. It's just on.
The gas take gage stopped working when it was about 2 years old, so we go by the trip mileage. Of course I've talked too many other Rodeo owners and their gages stopped working too but the manufacturers are not putting out a recall.
We had some trouble with the transmission slipping when it was about 4 years old. We took it in and paid about 1600. to fix it. It never was quiet right after that. Now, we are replacing the transmission.
We have also been told the EGR valve is bad but someone told us how to take it off and clean it instead of replacing it.
We've also had to replace the A/C.
General comments?
Over all this has been a reliable car. Most of the problems happened after it was paid off. It is a comfortable car but it needed a/c conditioner vents in the back because the backseat area is warm.
