1995 Isuzu Rodeo review from North America
"Reliable, well-made, comfortable, and fun"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Hoses began to blow out after 100,000 miles.
Window switches needed replacing now and then.
Clutch at 180,000 miles or so.
General comments?
This is by FAR the best, funnest, most reliable car I've ever owned. I have taken it to numerous festivals, run it without water on numerous occasions, and generally put very hard miles on it. Any other engine would have died long ago. My girl and I have slept in the back on dozens of camping trips. I have beaten the hell out of it and it just keeps running. I was in an accident, hit by 2 cars in the rain, barely missing the driver's seat. Unbelievably, the doors still opened and the frame checked out as straight afterward.
I just bought another one, same vintage, automatic. It has some problems like the window switches and clutch but I consider it worth fixing.
Yeah, I love these things.
