1992 Isuzu Rodeo Base review from North America
"OK I guess - nothing special"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Rear end went out.
Outside right wheel bearing went - had to replace.
Head in this Rodeo has a developed a crack (or other leak) somewhere so my mileage and power stink badly.
Dash lights - all have failed.
Manual window regulators fail. The internals of 3 out of 4 have failed.
General comments?
Hard to find rear end (differentials, hubs and axles) for this Rodeo in salvage yards (hmm...). Had to put in a rear end from a Pup which required me cobbling together a drive shaft from parts of the Rodeo and Pup shafts and then having the resultant shaft shortened (though around here I can get a shaft shortened and balanced cheaply).
It is very reliable - starts every time and good in snow (this is a 2WD model). I think the rear end probs might have been a result of previous owner abuse, but I am just guessing - if not then this car is suspect.

Isuzu makes (or did make) the worlds worst peforming manual windows.
