1999 Isuzu Rodeo LS review from North America
"With all the troubles, it's simply a foreign car"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
First my brakes were recalled and even after being fixed they still act up. I then dealt with disapearing oil which eventually caused a ticking in the engine. Check engine light ended up coming on resulting from the EGR valve and recently after giving the vehicle a break every now and then, the motor begin severely knocking so I had to replace the engine. I bought a wrecked Rodeo of the same year which amazingly had 54,199 miles on it and pulled the motor myself and had a local mechanic do the swap. I then sold the carcase with the bad motor to a salvage yard for the what it cost to swap the motors ($500). Any questions, you can ask at pup106@aol.com.
General comments?
The Rodeo has adequate power to get up and go and tow a trailer.
However it gets disapointing gas mileage, especially when towing a trailer.
