1997 Isuzu Rodeo review from North America
"My Dream Car"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Exhaust system had a crack in it and the alternator went out.
General comments?
The Rodeo although it is not a top performer by any means, it was the best car that I have ever owned (that including a Acura Integra, Honda CR-V, Honda Prelude, Nissan Maxima) The Rodeo is a slow mover, but if you are not in a race that should not matter.
The seats are the most comfortable of any car I have ever riden in, and the cloth interior I would take over leather any day.
The one downfall of the Rodeo is its horrible gas mileage. I was getting around 14 mpg with mine and that was with driving 55 on the expressways.
I took the Rodeo off road one time and it handled like a beaut. Outclassing a Newer Jeep Cherokee.
Although this may sound odd, if I ever hit the lottery, the only car I would ever want to drive, over Mercedes, BMW, Rolls Royce, would be a 1997 Isuzu Rodeo.
