2000 Jaguar S-Type review from North America
"Piece of junk"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Significant problems - transmission went in less than 500 miles and it took two attempts to fix it.
ower steering pump had to be replaced.
Rear window had to be repaired.
Balls joints needed replacement.
Coolant tank had to be replaced.
Cloth came off A posts.
Had to replace coils and spark plugs.
Rocker cover gaskets had to be replaced.
None of these repairs were covered by recalls and almost all were very expensive. I keep hoping someone will steal it... but even the car thieves know better.
General comments?
The reliability was supposed to have improved when Ford bought Jaguar... obviously didn't happen.
