2001 Jaguar Vanden Plas review from North America
"Beautiful and powerful"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Nothing!!!
Preforms flawlessly.
I had the daytime driving lights shut off cause I went through two $65 headlights in one month.
The local Jaguar dealer had to experiment by going into the computer to learn how to disable the lights. Cost me $95 for them to learn, but I prefer them off when not needed.
General comments?
I bought it from a Jaguar Leasing Dealer in Dallas. It was a Canadian import with several extra options not offered on the US versions.
Extra options:
1. Minstrel Blue color
2. Heated windshield
3. Headlight washers
4. Rear window awning
5. Engine block heater.
6. Daytime driving lights.
The only option that is not on it was the GPS system. It is by far, the most beautiful car I have ever owned, it draws comments and looks every time I take it out. The color gets their attention and draws them to the windows.
I belong to 2 collector car clubs and it still amuses me to see how quickly it draws some of the enthusiasts.
With the 5 speed auto trans, it has gotten 27mpg (without A/C) cruising at 70 mph on long trips.
