2002 Jaguar X-Type Sport review from UK and Ireland
"Buy one - you won't regret it - especially the 3.0"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Passenger air bag light - needed resetting
Whine from drive train - common X type feature!! - just decided to live with it and enjoy the car.
General comments?
Excellent performance from 3.0 and AWD system.
Averages 25MPG even up to 34MPG on a run. Though about buying an X type diesel - would have cost £4k extra for same age and mileage - so it meant I would have had to kept the car 10 years to cover the £4000 in fuel costs savings, so decided to go for the performance and AWD advantages with no regrets.
Had many Audis and BMW's 3's and 5's previously - these are far too common in the UK now and are considered the new sales rep car - the Jag is just a bit more exclusive, and certainly better looking.
