2000 Jaguar XJ8 review from North America
"Wonderful car not built for the long haul"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Radiator, bypass hose, thermostat, thermostat housing, thermostat cover, transmission cooler hose, and at last, but not least...$5000 transmission!!! For any thinking of taking the plunge on a Jaguar I will say this: British cars IMHO are the best riding, best driving cars ever built; having also owned a Rover in the past I will also say THESE ARE 50,000 mile CARS!!! Whenever ANY of these vehicles reach 50k on the odometer trade it as quickly as possible...period. My old S-Class is still in the garage with 250,000 miles on it and going strong.
General comments?
Feels like a roadster
much faster than I ever imagined
quiet and silky smooth on the road
you see 50k approaching on the odometer... run like hell.
