2000 Jeep Cherokee sport review from Australia and New Zealand
"Fool me once shame on me, fool me twice."
What things have gone wrong with the car?
AT 80,000 both drivers and passenger door motors went out, would not lock or unlock, windows grinded at top. Had both complete motors in doors replaced. Once the drivers side went the passenger side followed. Now low and behold the back hatch will not open. A/C went out, later that day, car started smoking as belt was burning. Could not drive it, had to be serviced with new air compressor before it could be driven safely. If is was not attached to the "major organs" I would have just not fixed the A/C. Not an option for the 2001 Jeep Cherokee Sport. Oh yeah, the other day I went outside and found my rearview mirror on the dashboard.
General comments?
It reminded me of the commercial where the lady finally pays off the car and wonders when something will happen. Got to get rid of this piece of crap and go back to the most reliable car on earth: TOYOTA. Would still have that 91 camry if it had not been totalled. What a shame. Live and Learn. Just because a car had a rep before just means that the company tries to get by on rep, therefore skimping on the product overtime: JEEP. Newsflash: I took very good care of this care, it's a Jeep, not a rolls, Jeep can't take the heat!
