The infamous "death wobble"

Great everyday driver. However, when death wobble USED TO kick in, there were several times I considered running it into a concrete median to be done with it. In the end, after replacing every component in the front suspension--twice--(including the steering stabilizer) I lucked out and found Roger Daniels tire and alignment in Escondido Ca. Roger happens to be a "tire whisperer". Suspension, too. But that wasn't the problem. The problem was uneven tire wear. You HAVE TO ROTATE YOUR TIRES EVERY 3-5k miles especially on a lifted truck if you have all terrain or off road tires. PERIOD. I experienced cupping on the inside front edge of both front tires. Run your hand on the inside tread forward then back. If it feels dull one way and sharp the other, this could be the source of your problem. Rotate this way: cross fronts to the back, and bring rears straight forward. Also, make sure to run weights on both sides of the rim, instead of just the inside. Doesn't look as clean but it is required for tall tires. And make sure they put the stick on weights that they use on the inside of the rim out of the way of the caliper or the caliper will rub them off on the first revolution. Works every time for me. If your front tires already have TOO much cupping, you may have to go ahead and replace them as additional miles on the back won't "fix" them. Hope this helped someone. I actually like my jeep again now that it isn't trying to kill me.
