2000 Jeep Cherokee Sport review from North America
"Jeeps are OK if they didn't break all the time"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Things that went wrong so far:
Brakes every year along with the rotors.
Waterpump.
Thermostat.
Alternator.
Ball joints.
Shocks.
Tow hitch broke.
Door speaker.
Turn signal relay.
Valve cover gasket.
Oil filter adapter gasket ring.
Front axle seal leak.
Steering box.
Broken seat weld.
AC clutch assembly.
Now have very low oil pressure and a knocking on cold startup. Probably the engine going. Go figure at 120000 miles.
General comments?
This is the worst vehicle I ever owned. I cannot believe that Chrysler can sell this junk anymore. They say the 4.0 in these Jeeps last a long time. I don't see it lasting over 130000 miles, and I baby this Jeep.
If anyone is considering buying a Chrysler product, I strongly recommend against it. You fix one thing and a month later something else breaks. Oh and you fix one leak, it just leaks again somewhere else.
JEEP = Just Empty Every Pocket.
