"If only it wasn't flawed"

What things have gone wrong with the car?

Minor dashboard electrics.

Ball joint fell out of track rod - fortunately when traveling slowly.

Rocker gasket failed resulting in oil in the footwell.

Rear differential noisy.

Gearbox noisy.

General comments?

Well appointed, interior stands up to hard use.

Surprisingly frugal, and good performance from the TD engine. But the engine is agricultural (noisy), gearbox rumbled between 1500 - 2000 rpm.

Spares are very expensive.

I have a p reg 97 Cherokee and it is rubbish I've had nothing but problems since it was purchased. The worse thing is the dealers, they want all your hard earned money for nothing. Boston dealership tried taking me for between £150.00 to £3000 for some diff oil. They won't give any advice. I've tryed other dealers Lincoln for instance £315 for replacing indicator stalk and then when I got the car back I had to put some interior and exterior parts back on myself. All in all the dealers give me the hardest time. Thank god there are other people out there just as frustrated as me!!
