Nada yet!
I turned in a 2-wheel 1999 Cherokee Sport that I was fairly pleased with for one of the last Cherokees made: A 2001 Cherokee Limited, all in black with grey leather seats!
The Limited is a substantially improved version over the Sport.
All my serious reservations with the '99 Sport were addressed in the 2001 Limited. Examples of standard equipment:
4 wheel drive, leather, power ( & warmed) seats, darkened windows all around (which make an amazing difference in South Texas), stiffer suspension and steel plated protection (upland package) for off road, 16 inch aluminum wheels & higher performance tires which puts you an extra inch or two higher on the road, and body color bumpers that shine up better than the dull Sport bumpers.
I just might keep this one for 20 years! At leas I won't have to drive around in a "girl's SUV"!
Are you really going to drive 20 years in that shoe box, it looked already old fashioned in the eighties.
Get a Liberty, it is better and at least you will be driving a real Jeep, not an seventies 'designed' piece of crap.
It isn't a Jeep when it hasn't got round head lights and a spare on the back.
You are kidding aren't you? Buy a Liberty just because it has round headlights and spare on the back. I wouldn't trade in my 1998 Cherokee Sport with 198,000+ miles for a Liberty.
If you have a couple young kids and go to the store, you and stack your kids on top one another in the storage area and put the groceries in the back seat of the Liberty... or you can stack the groceries in the back and put your kids in the back seat. The choice is yours.
That guy is OBVIOUSLY not a TRUE jeep fan,. Liberty? come on,. it's the beginning of a line of sell outs if you ask me.
Yes the KJ (liberty) does not follow the jeep name. it's a family ride through and through.
