"I love this vehicle"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Oxygen Sensor had to be replaced at 38,000 miles.
Catalytic Converter Plugged on highway 128,000 miles.
Driver's seat cushion had to be rebuilt.
Rear Hatch cylinders stopped functioning about 90,000 miles.
Driver's Seat Belt retractor malfunctions - started about 85,000 miles.
Rear Seat retaining latches keep falling off.
General comments?
4 Liter has plenty of Moxie! Have gotten 21 mpg, but 18-19 mpg on highway is normal.
Original Goodyear Wrangler tires lasted 90,000 miles.
Stiff ride- but it is basically a truck.
4 wheel drive has operated without problem when ever needed.
This vehicle replaced my 1988 Olds (at 150,000 miles) because Olds Dealer could not solve engine problem!
Biggest disappointment $13.75 each for "Genuine Jeep" muffler clamps when Catalytic Converter was replaced - total bill was $800- and change.
Word to the wise - change oil and filter every 3,000 mile and do routine maintenance yourself and you will get your moneys worth from most vehicles. (1987 Toyota Corolla SR5 went 250,000!)
