1992 Jeep Cherokee Laredo review from North America
"A tough, reliable Jeep"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Front shocks needed to be replaced
Needed to replace thermostat
Needed to replace radiator due to corrosion
Needed to replace breaks/ 1 break cylinder
Needed to replace drive-shaft universal joints and flange.
Needed to repair an engine mount (my fault)
For some reason I am unable to get the "Maintenance Required" light to turn off.
General comments?
I have to start off by saying that, despite the extensive "gone-wrong" list, this is an excellent car, which happens to be my first car. All of the repairs I have had to make were not out of the ordinary for a car of this age, except for the engine mount, which I broke hitting a deep pot-hole. Despite being 12 years old, it still has more pick-up and go off the line then a lot of other cars on the road. This car is tough, durable, and very worth having. I'm told that Jeep makes a good product, and plan on running this as long as possible. At $1900, I think I caught a bargain.
