1993 Jeep Cherokee country review from North America
"An amazing 4x4 that is sure to be considered nostalgic in the future"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Fuel line had a small leak,so I had it replaced. Radiator also had a small leak, but I believe this stems from an accident it was involved in before I purchased the suv. When I bought the vehicle, the entire exhaust system needed to be replaced, all the way up to the manifold. I had this done. just recently the starter failed (at about 102,000 miles) and I had it fixed for $295. I accidently over heated the engnie one day and I have suppossedly warped the pistons. The worst consequence of this problem though is that the vehicle idles a little rough, hey, but that's my fault. The only other thing worth mentioning is the windsheild washer light has in recent months decided to stay on all the time even though the windsheild washer container is nearly full.
General comments?
I'll admit that its not the smoothest riding set of wheels, but it takes you where you need to go.
I love the go any where command trac 4wheel drive in our harsh New England weather. I driven it in up to 2.5 ft. of snow, and its gone right through it without flinching.
Basically my only beef with it, is that I wish it got better gas mileage.
