1988 Jeep Cherokee Base review from North America
"Great Mid-Sized SUV!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Engine Fire.
Oil Leak.
Paint Damage On Hood From Fire.
General comments?
Other than the engine catching fire this was a really good ride. Traded it for an 88 Camaro Z28 after a chicken truck backed into me causing front end damage to my ride. The 4.0 motor in these are one of the best 6 cylinders ever made in my opinion. I plan on purchasing another to give some off road hell to. One thing I never could figure out about this thing was the fact it never had a passenger side mirror. It looked like it came from the factory that way. I know it was a base model - i.e. no power options at all - but it shouldn't have come so standard as to not have a mirror.?.? Anyway, this ride is a good overall vehicle, would make a great first car for your wild and crazy teenager!
