Still the best AMERICAN four wheel drive built.
WHAT'S a "Jeep thing"? Having to replace a lot of parts?
I'm a Jeep enthusiast, but I hate that stupid saying "It's a Jeep thing".
To the guy who says we pour money into them - You don't know squat about Jeeps!
Still that's a lot of money and parts to put into an 88'. I own a 99 sport and I had a 86 S10 Blazer 4x4 before that. The 4x4 in the blazer was stronger than the 4x4 system in my 99 Cherokee Sport, but both are still great 4 wheel drive vehicles. Jeeps are great for the performance from the 4.0 Inline Six along with their reliability. However, when you start having to dump a lot of money/parts into an old SUV to keep it running, road-worthy, and safe, its usually a good sign to retire/sell it. That's why I sold my 86 S10 Blazer 4x4.
