1993 Jeep Cherokee country review from North America
"Simply the best damn all around 4x4 I ever owned!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Water pump went at about 180k and the serpentine belt not too long after that. other than that I had no other problems with my jeep.
General comments?
I would recommend a cherokee to anyone I talk to. They are very reliable, pretty comfortable for a vehicle that is truly capable of offroading. The 4.0 motor has plenty of power and never let me down. I would often take my jeep wheeling with my brother who had a 2000 TJ (or what ever their designation was then) and even though he had a smaller wheel base I could follow him anywhere and many times I ended up pulling him out of places. I go to canada a few times a year and one year I went up in february for the winter carnival and there was almost 4 feet of snow over night. I cleared a path to my door fired up my jeep and pulled out like I was on dry pavement. Anyone looking for great tires try either the toyo open country A/T's or yokohama geolander A/T's. Both of these are excellent tires on and off road.
