2000 Jeep Cherokee Larado review from North America
"Good"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
For those of you with intermittent starting trouble, it could be the Crank Shaft Positioning Sensor. My jeep would periodically just not start. Wait 5 min, it would start right up. Some times it would take 2 hours. Once 2 days. Then, started right up. I replaced the CSPS and have had no trouble since. As the sensor is located on top of the bell housing, just under the fire wall, it is a very difficult repair. Only the most experienced and patient shady tree mechanics should attempt.
As I recall, I don't think you can actually see it without mirrors, and I think I had to hold the bolt in the socket with gum. Jeep does a wonderful job of making repairs to their vehicles a challenge.
