2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited review from North America
"A major headache and drain on your wallet"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Passenger side seat heater failed < $36k Miles
Water pump failed at 70,000 miles
BOTH front windows collapsed into door ($500 each)
Passenger side heater failed, blows cold air ($950 repair)
Now leaking transmission/power steering fluid!
General comments?
The only thing I'm thankful for is that I bought it used for $18K with 32K miles and not $35K new.
Previously owned 1995 Jeep which ran well with relatively few problems until my son totalled it with 230K miles. This 2001 is a piece of garbage. I'll never buy another Jeep again!
In comparison, I've not had a SINGLE problem out of my 2000 Lexus SUV, nor my 2005 Toyota Prius.
