2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo review from North America
"Either love it or hate it!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
It appears that there is a pattern here!
Let's see:
New alternator.
Crankshaft position sensor.
2 batteries.
New brakes every year (rear brakes are useless anyway).
New thermostat.
Passenger window motor.
Unreal amount of tranny work, which still leaks and sounds like screaming kids in the distance when idling.
New output speed sensor solves shifting problems.
Passenger rear tail light goes out when brakes applied.
New coil.
New catalyst.
New radiator fan motor.
Hood supports.
Hatch supports.
Blower motor resistor.
And now new O2 sensors..
It's a REAL good thing I have done all of the repairs on my own Jeep, except for replacing the tranny, because I would get no help from Chrysler! Study the website WJJEEPS.COM; seriously people, it's a bible that should come with the 99-04 Grand Cherokees along with a brand new set of every Craftsman tool ever made!
Please feel free to email me with questions concerning problems. I am NOT a mechanic, but I have studied up on 99-04 GCs, and learning to do your own repairs WILL save you a lot of $$!
KDXBITME@YAHOO.COM is the email, and I would be happy to answer questions about anything. I do know how to, and have fixed these wonderful pieces of artwork that Daimler Chrysler so gladly stands behind!
