2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo review from North America

I had this Jeep for 6 years and had a few minor problems with the rear brake lights; wiring was faulty, corrected at my cost at dealership, took 3 service trips.

The door actuator on the front passenger side makes a buzzing sound every time you use the remote control locks; sometimes it doesn't work properly, causing delays when traveling because you can't get in that side.

Just today I noticed my fuel gauge is broken, light on. I just filled it up yesterday; it was working fine, headed for disaster on this costing approx. $500.00 dollars.

The transmission is starting to slip especially when climbing highway hills, it races and then catches the gear, sounds as if the transmission will fall out.

Overall I love this style of Jeep; it has class, looks, is comfortable, and sleek looking. My Jeep has been garage kept, maintained to perfection, oil changed every 3000 miles, tires, fluids, it looks about 3 years old, and some people think it's new, even the inside, but the problems have started and that's why I am reading all of your comments to help everyone with a recall. Please have Chrysler stand behind their vehicles. I would like to buy another, but if their word and loyalty is not with the consumer, which is me, then I will have to look elsewhere.
