Driver door broke on my Jeep, and the auto body shop said they'd seen it before and it's a design problem.
Jeep should have recalled this SUV's long ago. It's not fair that I buy a vehicle, pay it off and then it falls apart and on top of it, it's a manufacturer problem.
Something needs to be done.
This vehicle should have been recalled long ago and it's not fair that the customer should eat the costs of replacing vital parts of their car that should have been more sound in the first place.

How do you know that the Jeep hadn't been abused or even involved in an accident?
I think that it is unfair to blame the manufacturer without details.
Don't get me wrong, Grand Cherokees have had their share of problems, but as a reader you give no details to back up your negative review.
By the way, not all Jeeps are problematic - my 13 year old Wrangler is very reliable and still runs great. But that is a very different vehicle than the Grand Cherokee.
My wife had the smaller model Cherokee for many years and that too was a very reliable vehicle.
