2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited review from North America
"Pinto, minto, zippo, junko"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
2 window regulators
2 dash speakers
Alternator at 38,000 miles
4 sets of hood struts
4 sets of tailgate struts
2 sets of OEM brake rotors/pads
Replaced rotors with Brembo to resolve rotor problem
Replaced all 4 brake calipers with non OEM
Replaced power steering pump and pressure hose
Replaced radiator fan
Replaced various engine/transmission sensors
Replaced heater core. That was expensive
This was all before 50,000 miles. The worst vehicle I have ever owned, and at 58 years old, I have owned a few. To spend 39K on a vehicle in 2001 and get such garbage, makes you ill. For the rest of my life, I will have to listen to my wife say, "I told you we should have bought a Toyota, but you wouldn't listen to me". The people responsible for this vehicle should be doing hard prison time, with a full dance card...
General comments?
This vehicle is the poster child of why Americans don't buy American cars any more...
