2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited review from North America
"Amazingly Luxurious, but it's nickle and diming me to death!"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Chrome plated rims lose air, rim repair on all 4.
Heated seats don't work; estimated $250/ seat.
Ignition cord short at 106K.
Transmission servicing about $200.
New battery cables.
Power steering leak... lead to no power steering price is still up in the air, at the garage now!
High inspection bill - don't remember what was wrong!
Leather wrapped steering wheel is pealing.
The biggest fault: my mechanic knows my number by heart because it's in there constantly! I've never owned a car that was in the garage at least once a month. Right now it's twice in one week!..
General comments?
The car has better amenities than my girlfriends 2003 Lexus RX 330.
10 disk CD changer
Leather seats
Premium sound system
Sun roof
Memory seating
4-wheel all time
Towing package
4.7L V8 - I.e 13-15 miles per gallon
Automatic headlights.
The reason I bought was because I needed 4 wheel or all-wheel drive where I live. If I would have known in the 4 months I've owned I would put about 800 dollars into it.. I would have bought the Mercedes E420 4-matic. LOL.
