2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee review from North America
"Good, but needs looking after, reliable"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The rear wiper actuator is out.
The left rear power window does not work.
The auto locks are starting to go out.
The lift gate lock is broke.
The brake light on the right side is not working.
I have had to replace the brake caliper on the left side.
I had to replace a tensioner pulley for the serpentine belt.
General comments?
Overall, I bought this car used and put a lot of highway miles on it. It's light and feels swooshy in windy weather and rain too.
It has been very dependable other than normal repairs, tires, rotors, brakes, rear left and right axle seal leaks. But for having over 200,000 miles on it, it still looks good, starts up, blows cold air and runs great, and I have no qualms about driving anywhere in the US.
I recommend buying Firestone Expedition LE tires, they give the best ride for this Jeep.
