2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo review from North America
"This thing will be in my life for years to come, and one of my unborn childrens"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
In chronological order...
Warped rotors replaced with drilled rotors and ceramic pads. Now no more problems.
Hood shocks replaced.
Window regulator replaced from ebay, $19 twice.
Broken ground wire driver side in door jam for power window butt connected.
Now ticking from lifters.
General comments?
I love this car!
In the last 6 months, bought 20in rims and tires off craigslist for 500, lift kit off ebay for 300, metal rear bumper with spare mount 800, pax power CPU programmer.
This thing out maneuvers most stupid rice rockets, and goes where they can't.
If you don't know mechanics, this car will nickel and dime you to death, but if you know enough about mechanics you'll love it.
I have owned over 25 vehicles now, and am 27 years of age; I buy them, fix them up and sell them. I will not get rid of this one, it's paid off and every part I could ever want is in the junk yard.
For all of you that hate this car because you never took the time to take a high school automotive class or two, take on at your local JR college, it will save you a lot of money down the road and you won't be conned into buying muffler bearings or a flux capacitor.
