I have had everything go wrong with my 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee, from my engine lights which come on and off, tie rods, passenger seat broken, windows, changing brake shoes and pads very often, heater core, fan, blower, my transmission is now going, you name it.
The most thing that bothers me is that everyone seems to be having the same issue, but there have not been any recalls. I am so fed up with spending thousands of dollars on this vehicle. I will definitely be selling this vehicle and purchasing a Honda, which seems to be more reliable.
The other thing is that these dealerships need to hire honest mechanics that know what they are doing, before attempting to work on these vehicles and charging the outrageous amounts they charge their customers, and causing more damage in the attempt to make more money.
Fed up, Canada.
I had a Cherokee and definitely didn't have any of the problems you are listing. Also, at 201,000 miles, you're going to have a lot of those problems. Your review sounds more like a rant on dealerships. I agree that they charge a lot, but then you can always take it somewhere else. For 80,000 miles of service, those problems seem pretty typical.
