1995 Jeep Grand Cherokee review from North America
"Will not last without maintenance"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Water pump.
Idle pulley bearing.
Alternator.
Rear transmission seal.
Rear end pinion shaft seal.
Both rear axles and bear/seals replaced.
CV joint and boots three times.
Oil sending unit/major oil leak.
A/C mixing door will not work.
Door locks do not work on all doors.
Rear window wiper never did work.
CD player failed.
Auto radio antenna failed.
Have followed maintenance by the book. Best parts, oils and grease.
Faults started after 105000 miles.
General comments?
After all the problems, I still like this car. My mileage is 95 percent highway and extreme high temps during the summer. This car is a good highway car.
I will keep this SUV as long as I can find parts. I perform my own repairs. My 82 Tercel retired after 450000 miles only because parts got difficult to find.
