2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo review from North America
"Good design, but poor quality"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
Brake rotors warped and were replaced, engine computer failed and was replaced, cam sensor which feeds computer failed and was replaced, anti-lock brake sensor (front) failed, transmission had "rough shift points", window seal was improperly installed and blew out on freeway, check engine light on due to improperly installed vacuum hose, window defect caused yellowing streak along top, electric locks failed and were repaired.
General comments?
The vehicle handles some tough terrain and I am pleased with it's handling. As you can see from the problems noted above, it has been very unreliable, with 14 warranty claims to date after 21K miles. Most of the problems are related to poor quality parts or improper assembly.
