1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo review from North America
"This truck is a money pit"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
The rear end went at 80,000 miles.
The transmission went at 83,000 miles.
The radiator and cooling lines were replaced when the transmission was rebuilt.
The power steering pump died TWICE at about 105,000 miles.
This truck STILL runs/starts rough despite a complete tune up.
General comments?
The difference one year makes is amazing. My wife has a 1997 Grand Cherokee that has needed minimal maintenance in addition to scheduled maintenance.
Despite several tech bulletins issued pertaining to the transmission and rear end, Daimler Chrysler has offered NOTHING for my troubles and expenses.
Very poor customer service from the dealer AND manufacturer.
I will NEVER buy another Jeep.
