2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee review from North America
"A great sense of security"
What things have gone wrong with the car?
I purchased My V6 Jeep Grand Cherokee
Laredo in July of 2003. I have had
minor problems. The bushing went in
February 2004. The dealer replaced
them under warranty, but a rubber gasket in cracked due to the extreme
cold weather when they were replaced.
The dealer fixed the problem again at
no cost to me.
My most recent problem was a malfunction indicator light came on. I received a P0456 power train code and determined that I had a minor gas leak. It was a $15 fix, but the dealer charged $75 for labor and this was not covered under my extended warranty.
General comments?
The Grand Cherokee handles extremely well. I recently found myself on a highway and I nearly missed my exit. I over reacted and hit my brakes extremely hard. I was able to stop on a dime and had complete control of the vehicle. I was quite impressed with the stopping ability and the stability on the vehicle when the incident happened.
The Grand Cherokee serves me as a winter vehicle. I live in the snow belt and the 4x4 Select-a-Trac has never failed me.
