My brakes died out right before inspection at 115350 miles ($450)
2 bad you joints ($50 each)
Radio screen does not work at all and neither does the AM/FM radio, but the cd player works.
Did an overhaul on drive train myself spent about $200.
This is my families 7th jeep 1st on I have owned.
I like the feel of the jeep, drives great on and off road.
Despite the repairs of almost $1000 after a 3 month ownership I will buy nothing, but a jeep.
They seem to hold there value well mine is worth $7500 and I bought it for $3995.
Just doing small repairs to make it run great and not just good makes it worth more and drive like a chap.
I would not sell my jeep for any reason other than to buy another.
If anyone knows how to fix the stock radio please help me I like it, but I am tired of just CD's and having no screen?
So they're called "you" joints?
Imagine for years I was calling them "Ewe" joints! But then some wise guy at the parts store tried to tell me that it's actually "U-joints"
Yeah right!
"They seem to hold their value well, mine is worth $7500 and I bought it for $3995."
You should be a car dealer if you can buy a $7,500 car for $3,995.
Why didn't you sell it right away?
Aside from the other sarcastic comments, I would invest in a good aftermarket radio and speakers. Especially if you're planning on keeping it a while.
The AM section of my Grand Cherokees radio stopped working. Turned out to be a cut antenna wire inside the fender. No idea how that could had happened.
