The rotors went bad at about 10,000 miles and finally by 12,000 I had them resurfaced which lasted about 6000 miles. Finally at 19,000 I paid to have new ones installed. For a leased vehicle that will end up costing $30,000 having to deal with this type of maintenance problem at so low of mileage causes me great concern.
I started researching on the Internet and found that this seems to be a very common problem for this vehicle. So I wrote to Chrysler. The paragraph below is their response. Not quite what I was looking for.

Perhaps Jeep really does stand for Just Empty Every Pocket??
I am not surprised about the response you got. I find that Jeep dealerships are your best friends when trying to make the sale, and after that their attitude is "it's your problem now". Don't hold your breath for them to do anything for you. That letter will be as good as it gets.
I have also had many problems with my 2003 Laredo. I emailed them and after a couple months they sent me a very similar email. The A/C just blew up and the brakes pulsate like crazy when braking. New pads and rotors haven't changed anything. Jeep is a heap of crap. I'll never get another. Thanks Chrysler...
