First off let me say that I am so glad I am not crazy and the only one with these problems!!! First it started with the lock actuators. It went in a complete circle around the car starting with the driver's side door. I paid to replace all of them and now the rear has gone out again.
Then I noticed that after the first year of having the car the headlights lenses got this film over them which cannot be cleaned it has to be replaced!!! At a cost of $250 per headlight. It is now to where I can barely see at night and Jeep has told me that this is not a safety issue it is cosmetic and they are not going to replace them at no cost.
Now to the tail lights. Both of my tail lights have done the same thing as everyone else. Once again I'm so glad to know that I am not alone in this!!! I just today had the right side to go out not 6 months after I pd the dealership $200 to replace the left because they said that it could not be fixed and had to be replaced.
I would really like to thank you guys on here for all of the help. I am going to try to "fix" the light assembly myself. If you have any other suggestions as to how I can do this other than what is already posted please email me at sdandde@yahoo.com. Again, Thanks!
Should have went to matrixracing. com and bought performance lights... You're just lucky you got an inline 6 and shouldn't haven't anything mechanical go wrong... the front lights dim on all cars... don't they?
If you cannot afford the beast buy a toyota and enjoy replacing suspension and engine head.
